Taller Than the Trees - Technique Tuesday Card

Good morning! So...you may have noticed me posting some cards in recent days using Technique Tuesday products - and there is a good reason for it! I'm happy and honored to share today that I'm joining the Technique Tuesday Design Team! Check out this fabulous line-up:

Technique Tuesday won me over with their adorable critters and super cute punny sentiments - but I also fell in love with some of the different styles of stamps and dies they offer! So...I thought I'd share a card today using some of those!

I used Taller than Trees die to cut my tree silhouette, then added a "moon" behind it using Circles Dies. I thought it was fun to reverse and use green for the background with a brighter silhouette of the trees. I also added some white stars to the sky that are part of Taller than Trees. Sentiment is from Walk in the Woods, stamped and heat embossed in white on the largest die from Hexagon Steel dies. I trimmed off the top of the the shape and attached it with foam adhesive over my scene, and added some rustic jute twine to finish off my card! Great card for a guy, or a non-girly girl don't you think?

Winnie and Walter 4th Birthday Bash Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the fun Winnie and Walter 4th Birthday Bash Celebrating Love and Friendship! There is a fabulous line-up of talent with lots of inspiration, and also some great prizes up for grabs! So make sure and hop along and visit each stop along the way! You should have arrived here from the lovely Laura Bassen - if not, feel free to head back to the Winnie and Walter Blog to start at the beginning!

I paired up one of the lovely new floral stamp sets from the latest release, with the new Catherine Pooler Inks that are now being carried in the Winnie and Walter Store! They are so fun and amazing - definitely in love with them! I used them here both for stamping the florals, and for the ink smooshing for my watercolor background:

I started off by stamping the florals from In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans using Tiara, Orange Twist, and Rockin' Red. The leaves used a combination of Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt. I die cut them all out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Fiesta Blue to do some ink smooshing on watercolor paper to form my background, then used Press and Seal to arrange the florals to where I was happy, pick them up and turn over to apply adhesive, then to press into place.

I matted that panel with Simon Says Stamp Orange Peel cardstock, and mounted on a cardbase made with Green Apple cardstock. I stamped my "beautiful" sentiment in black on white cardstock and die cut out, then die cut the same shape twice more from black cardstock,t hen layered them together. This makes it a bit more dimensional, and makes the underneath pop a bit more! I also heat embossed a bit of an additional sentiment from the set on black cardstock, and attached those with foam adhesive.

GIVEAWAY info: Since this is a 4th birthday celebration, there are FOUR gift certificates valued at $40 each up for grabs to be chosen from comments left along the hop. Comments can be left through the end of the month (February 28, 2018 by 11:59 PM CST) and will be announced on the Winnie and Walter Blog after that. Thank You Florals - Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for this month's Reverse Confetti SFYTT (stands for Sketch For You To Try) - I hope you'll come play along with us!

Here is a peek at this month's sketch - you can find it HERE:

I decided to do some very soft and simple no-line Copic coloring on my card today. Definitely new territory for me, but these were nice and simple and fun - and I LOVE the finished effect!

I used some of the florals from Banner in Bloom, die cut with the coordinating Banner in Bloom Confetti Cuts. I stamped them in Stone Dye ink, then colored with a single color of Copic - except the gray for which I used two and blended. I used Navy Dye ink to stamp the sentiment. I layered those together with foam adhesive for lots of texture with some scallop circles cut from Circles N Scallops. Finished off with some pattern paper from Every Little Bit 6x6 paper pad, and some Nuvo Drops!

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!

Flying Squirrel - Technique Tuesday Squirrel

Good morning! I have been falling in love lately with some of the DARLING sentiments in stamp sets from Technique Tuesday - I'm totally a sucker for the perfect sentiment, and when a stamp set has several, I'm in love! This set is called Sammy the Squirrel - and this was my favorite sentiment on it! Heeheehee!

I used watercolors to color the image, and my MISTI to stamp everything on watercolor paper.

Added some white gel pen accents, and some solid papers to mat the image!

Watercolor Floral Boots - Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Good morning! Stopping by again this morning with TWO more cards to share using brand new Simon Says Stamp MARCH Card Kit - Choose Joy! There are not one, but TWO amazing stamp sets, gorgeous Carta Bella pattern paper and stickers, cardstock and envelopes, and a fun glittery Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen! It's such a fabulous kit!

These may be my favorite cards with the kit - I just adore this image from Showers & Flowers, and it was so fun to watercolor!

I did a slightly different color scheme on each card, watercolored with my Daniel Smith watercolors after stamping them with my MISTI on watercolor paper.

I then die cut each panel with Wonky Rectangles, and added a thin mat of the Green Leaf Cardstock in the Kit.

I then adhered them on a card made with a panel of the Neenah Desert Storm cardstock in the kit, and wrapped around some jute twine in either natural or ivory on each card.

What do you think? Which color scheme is your favorite? I can't pick - although I may be slightly partial to the blue!

Sunshine on a Gloomy Day - Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Good morning! Stopping by again this morning with another card to share using brand new Simon Says Stamp MARCH Card Kit - Choose Joy! There are not one, but TWO amazing stamp sets, gorgeous Carta Bella pattern paper and stickers, cardstock and envelopes, and a fun glittery Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen! It's such a fabulous kit!

For this one I paired up the gorgeous Choose Joy stamp set with some of the beautiful stickers in the kit!

That vase of flowers? Isn't it lovely? I wish I could say I watercolored it - but it is one of the stickers in the kit - and it is STUNNING! Now the gingham background? That I totally stamped using the fun gingham pattern in the Choose Joy stamp set. It is set up so that you can interlock it together to stamp as large a background as you want - isn't that amazing? I stamped it in soft pink Twirling Tutu SSS ink, then tore the edges of that panel to get it to the size I wanted and add a rustic edge. I used my powder tool on the back of the sticker to remove it "stickiness" then used foam adhesive to pop it up on top of the gingham panel.

I mounted that front panel on a white panel cut with Wonky rectangles, and mounted that on a Neenah Desert Storm Cardbase. Finally, I heat embossed my sentiment in white on a strip of SSS Slate Cardstock, and adhered that over the top, and added a few sparkling clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish!

Puddle Ducky - Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Good evening! The NEWEST Simon Says Stamp MARCH Card Kit - Choose Joy has been revealed - and it is FABULOUS! There are not one, but TWO amazing stamp sets, gorgeous Carta Bella pattern paper and stickers, cardstock and envelopes, and a fun glittery Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen! I fell in love with this DARLING little ducky from the new Showers and Flowers Stamp set, so I watercolored him up twice!

For both cards I used Daniel Smith watercolors. I did the first one to coordinate with the Green Apple Cardstock in the kit:

I don't think you can see it at all, but I added a hefty dose of the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen on the umbrella, boots, and rain hat - so shimmery and gorgeous in real life!

For both cards I also die cut the watercolor panel using Wonky Rectangles Dies.

For this second card I used Sea Glass Cardstock for my cardbase.

Here is a look at the entire card kit - you can find it and all the info HERE:
